10 Things We All Love About Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For  Casesgg  should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves the equipment they have the original item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. The item can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state which means that the player has to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
